Masjid Ayesha at Taneem is the Miqat used by pilgrims already inside Makkah who want to perform another Umrah. It is about seven kilometres from Masjid al-Haram, and this is a straightforward return trip with the driver waiting while you change and pray.

Someone already in Makkah has passed the outer Miqat boundaries, so to begin a new Umrah they must leave the Haram boundary and enter Ihram outside it. Taneem is the nearest and most used point, which is why Masjid Ayesha is busy day and night in Umrah season.
The masjid takes its name from Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her), who was instructed to assume Ihram from this place. It has changing rooms, washrooms and space to pray the two rak'ah.
Fifteen to twenty-five minutes each way. Most people spend twenty to forty minutes at the masjid — longer if you are changing there rather than at the hotel and the changing rooms are busy.
The driver waits and brings you back to your hotel or, if you prefer, drops you at the Haram to begin Tawaf. Say which you want at pickup so he plans the return.
After Isha and in the hours before Fajr are the quietest. Friday afternoons and the whole of Ramadan are the busiest, with coaches filling the forecourt and changing rooms.
Many pilgrims combine the trip with the last night of their stay, performing a final Umrah before departure. If your flight is the same day, allow for Tawaf, Sa'i and the return to the hotel before check-out.
Take your Ihram, sandals and a small bag; leave the rest in the vehicle. There is water available but it is worth carrying your own.
Alternative Miqat points such as Ji'ranah and Hudaibiyah are further out and less crowded; we run those as separate routes if you would rather avoid the queues at Taneem.
