Choosing the departure time

Allow twenty to fifty minutes on the road depending on where in the city you are staying, then two to three hours at the airport for an international flight. Al Balad and the Corniche need the longer end of that range in the evening peak.

Umrah season departures fill the terminals in waves, so arriving earlier than you would at a quieter airport is time well spent.

Getting the terminal right

KAIA operates Terminal 1, the North Terminal and the Hajj and Umrah Complex, and the correct one depends on your airline and the current season. Send your flight number when booking and the driver takes you straight to the right departures entrance.

Correcting a terminal mistake means a shuttle transfer with all your luggage, which is exactly the situation a pre-booked car should avoid.

Luggage after Umrah

If Jeddah is your last stop after Makkah, you are probably carrying Zamzam boxes and gifts as well as your cases. Choose the vehicle by piece count rather than passenger count.

Two travellers with four pieces plus Zamzam are more comfortable in a seven-seater. Tell us what you are carrying and we will confirm what fits.

Late night and early morning

Many Umrah returns leave Jeddah between midnight and 5am. Roads are clear at those hours, so the drive is at the fast end of the range — but check-in desks can still be crowded, so keep the airport buffer intact.

Pickups at any hour are available; we confirm the driver's details the evening before.

Jeddah Hotel to Jeddah Airport Taxi — Questions Pilgrims Ask

How long does the drive to Jeddah airport take?

Twenty to fifty minutes depending on your district and the time of day. Al Balad and the Corniche take longest in evening traffic.

Which terminal will you drop me at?

The one your airline uses — Terminal 1, the North Terminal or the Hajj and Umrah Complex. We confirm it from your flight number on the day.

Do you operate overnight pickups?

Yes. Departures between midnight and dawn are common on this route and are booked the same way.

Can I bring Zamzam boxes?

Yes. Include them in your piece count when booking so we send a vehicle with enough boot space.

Is the fare fixed?

Yes, per vehicle and agreed before travel, including fuel and tolls.
