Madinah Ziyarat Tour Taxi

Around 2.5 hours from and back to your hotel

Madinah's historic sites sit within a short radius of the Haram, which makes a private two-and-a-half-hour circuit genuinely comfortable — no long drives between stops, and time to pray where prayer is recommended.

The usual circuit

Masjid Quba, the first mosque built in Islam, where praying two rak'ah carries a well-known reward; Mount Uhud and the martyrs' cemetery; Masjid al-Qiblatain, where the qiblah changed towards Makkah; the Seven Mosques area at Khandaq; and usually a stop at the date market or a date farm.

Everything lies within about eight kilometres of Masjid an-Nabawi, so driving time between sites is short and most of the tour is spent out of the car.

Getting the timing right

Masjid Quba is busiest after Fajr and on Saturday mornings, a tradition following the Prophet's own practice of visiting on Saturdays. Uhud fills in the late afternoon.

Starting after Fajr gives the coolest air and the quietest sites; starting after Asr suits pilgrims who prefer to be back at the Haram for Maghrib. Both work, and the driver will order the stops accordingly.

What to expect at each stop

Quba has been substantially expanded and has proper ablution facilities, so allow time to pray. Uhud is an open site with the cemetery walled off and viewing areas along the ridge; the graves are not entered.

Qiblatain is a short visit, mostly to understand what happened there. The date market is where most families spend longer than planned — Ajwa dates from Madinah are the usual purchase, and prices vary a great deal between stalls.

Ziyarat with respect

These visits are historical and devotional in the sense of reflection and permitted prayer, not rituals in themselves. At Uhud in particular, visitors are asked not to touch or seek blessings from the walls and rocks.

Modest dress, water, and comfortable shoes cover the practical side. Women and children are welcome at every site on this circuit.

Vehicles and group size

Families of up to four use a saloon; five to seven a GMC, Staria or Chevrolet; larger groups the Hiace or Coaster. One vehicle keeps the party together, which matters at Uhud where the parking is spread out.

The fare is per vehicle for the whole tour, waiting time at the stops included. Want to add Wadi Jinn or Badr? Those are separate trips because of the distance.

Which sites does the Madinah Ziyarat tour visit?

Masjid Quba, Mount Uhud and the martyrs' cemetery, Masjid al-Qiblatain, the Seven Mosques area, and usually a date market or farm.

Can we pray at Masjid Quba?

Yes, and most pilgrims do. Allow extra time if you are visiting after Fajr or on a Saturday morning when it is busiest.

How long does the tour take?

About two and a half hours from hotel to hotel, since all the sites lie within roughly eight kilometres of the Haram.

Is waiting time at each stop included?

Yes. The vehicle and driver stay with you throughout the tour.

Can we add Badr or Wadi Jinn?

Those are separate routes with their own fares, as each adds a couple of hours of driving. We can arrange them on other days.
